When I wrote
this post, I mentioned that one way to acquire a SCOBY is to grow one yourself at home.
Here are instructions on how to do so. But I wanted to share a photo of the kind you want to use.
Raw. Unflavored. Organic kombucha. Do not use pasteurized kombucha. It's got to be a living SCOBY to brew kombucha.
I just thought you might want to know.
