rats!!!

Well...Jeff and I just got some really disappointing news. It seems that there's a very rare problem with the buyer of our house. They're having to re-work some details of their loan.

The good news is, they still want to buy our house, and it looks like they'll be able to manage it.

The bad news? It looks like all closing and moving will take place mid-May, instead of in two days as we'd expected.

Rats, rats, rats!

Looks like it's a few more weeks of living out of suitcases in the cardboard jungle.

Wow! It can be both a good thing, and a bad thing....At least you can slow down a little, and relax.

By the way, are you going to post some pics of the new house?

Lauren,

Thanks. It's so frustrating because we were all geared up & ready to go. I'd talked to the boys about how this was our last weekend here and started packing dishes... Argh.

I plan to post more when we actually move, but here is a link (?) to a post I did earlier this month with pictures: http://sweetsmallstuff.blogspot.com/2009/04/our-future-home.html

Serious bummer, Mindy! I guess you'll be able to figure out what things you need the most from day to day as you dig them out now. It's good the sellers can hold off on closing.

How disappointing! I'm glad everything looks like it'll still work out, though.

Bummer on the delay -- hope that you can enjoy the extra month in your house and the "adventure" of living out of suitcases and boxes! :-)

I am SOOO sorry! I hope you've been able to let out a good cry and some heavy sighs. Extreme emotions would be completely understood!!! Maybe the hope of nicer weather will allow you to get out of the jungle a little more often!

Oh man that stinks! Moving is definatley one of those things you just want to be done and over with. But at least you don't really have rats like I originally thought ") ... is that a silver lining?

So sorry for the delay, Mindy. Hope the time flies!
